Message from Our Founder
“I believe we have a responsibility to actively support and guide our youth, not only by recognizing their potential, but by creating meaningful opportunities for them to contribute to their community.
From an early age, I saw many of my peers turn to antisocial behavior as a means of earning money, largely due to a lack of structure and positive alternatives. Over time, it became clear that young people who had access to employment, mentorship, and community engagement were far less likely to engage in harmful behaviors and more likely to develop a strong sense of civic responsibility.
Pay-A-Kid (PAK) was also designed to address a growing community need: supporting Bermuda’s aging population. Through sponsored hours and community service placements, students assist seniors with everyday tasks while gaining perspective, responsibility, and respect for the generations that came before them. These intergenerational connections foster empathy, shared learning, and a stronger sense of community.
At the same time, the program exposes students to real-world work and potential career paths before they invest in higher education, helping them make informed decisions about their futures.
We invite businesses, families, and community members to partner with PAK by offering placements, sponsorship, or support, and join us in building a stronger, more connected Bermuda for generations to come.”
